IYC Summit is an educational program which focuses mainly on promoting youth creativity and innovation, risk taking, self renewal and pro-activeness among young people in coming up with business as well as environmental issues for suitability and reduction of environmental harm. It encourages innovative solutions to manage the effects Climatic change and Global warming, Famines, Health pandemics so as to create a better communities and the whole world at large.

The goals of of the IYC Summit focus on empowering youth through creativity, Innovation, and sustainability. Here are the key goals guiding the summit:

Promote Youth Creativity and Innovation

Encourage young people to explore their creativity and develop innovative solutions for business and environmental challenges while embracing proactiveness and risk-taking.

Address Environmental Issues and Support Sustainable Development

Engage participants in actions to mitigate climate change and promote sustainable practices, equipping them to drive initiatives that contribute to development goals.

Celebrate Diversity and Unity

Foster a sense of community through cultural celebrations and collaborative events, highlighting diverse perspectives and promoting togetherness.

The Southern African Youth Development Council (SAYDC) brings together young leaders from Southern African to present innovative projects focused on industrial and value chain development. The forum will address key sectors such as Smart Governance, Smart Economy, and Smart Environment, covering industries like Agriculture, Finance, Health, Education, Infrastructure Development, ICT- Engineering, and Green Energy.

The goal of the Southern African Youth Development Council (SAYDC) focus on driving regional progress through several key initiatives:

Promote Industrial Development :

Advance modernization and industrialization in sectors like Smart Governance, Smart Economy and Smart Environment.

Enhance Regional Integration:

Support infrastructure development and market integration to strengthen economic and social ties within Southern Africa.

Empower Youth:

Equip young leaders with the skills and knowledge necessary to be effective agents of change and innovation.

Address Strategic Priorities

Align projects with SADC Vision 2050 and the RISDP 2020–2030, focusing on key issues such as Peace, Security, Governance, Gender, Youth, Environment, and Climate Change.

Foster Collaboration:

Create opportunities for delegates to present collaborative projects, share ideas, and build networks to advance regional development objectives.

Intercontinental Youth Connect Charity Association

This program is designed to provide humanitarian support, encouraging youth to participate in charitable activities that benefit underprivileged communities.

Intercontinental Youth Connect Adventures:

Promoting youth engagement with nature, this program focuses on outdoor activities that foster teamwork, leadership, and environmental awareness.

Youth 15 Talk

A platform dedicated to giving youth the opportunity to speak out about the challenges they face in their communities. This program creates an interview-style space where youth can discuss issues like education, unemployment, and social justice, driving constructive conversations for change.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN THIS CONFERENCE?

All youth within the age range of 16-39 years old can participate in the Intercontinental YouthConnect conference.

DO I NEED TO PAY A FEE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS CONFERENCE?

Yes, Intercontinental Youth Connect (IYC) is a self-funded conference and participants will have to pay a conference fee. More details regarding the fee or payments sent to you after you have passed the selection process upon the completion of the registration process.

IS FLIGHT TICKET AND VISA FEE INCLUDED IN ANY OF THE PAYMENT OPTIONS?

Flight ticket or VISA fee is not included in any of the payment options of IntercontinentalYouthConnect. Participants will have to book the flight tickets directly from the Airline or through a local travel Agency. And you can contact the Embassy in your country for more details regarding VISA.
