IYC brought me a great opportunity to learn, network and experience some beautiful cities in Tanzania. This conference did not only allow me participate, but also gave me an authentic voice as an emerging Leader throughout the conference. We were heard, seen and felt. As I am going back to my country Liberia, it’s my hope to implement everything I’ve learned and develop creative & sustainable solutions to the complex problems being faced by youths, young women and girls. By attending any the conferences, you get to discover your true purpose for whatever cause you’re fighting for.✊🏾 One people, one root, one Africa.✊🏾
IYC Delegate, Kenya
At first, all i saw were strange faces, when I looked around again on the last day, I saw a family. The conference nurtured my confidence and it enhanced my journey of self-discovery. It gave me a chance to work on both intrapersonal and interpersonal skills which will one day make me an effective leader. The social nights and diplomatic sessions were fantastic as I was able to get a chance to know my colleagues from all over Africa on personal levels. The tour around Dar-es-salaam was really nice and I got to learn about the beautiful city. Being an award winner boosted my self-esteem. My favorite part was Zanzibar. I got an experience that I will never forget. The island was marvelous and full of history. Great food and waking up to a beach settled well with me. A big thanks to the team that organized the conference and thank you for such a great conference.

By joining a number of IYC's programs namely IMUNA, YLMAU and AYL-DC2, I have met a lot of lovely young people with big ideas to change the world and it has helped me to have a different view on certain things that helped me to be a better leader. . I encourage all you people to be part of this great movement because all we need is a platform to make the world a better place. IYC has been a very great initiative for African youths. Africa has great future leaders , take time to listen you might just learn a thing or two from us.

The world is too busy for someone who has no IMPACT! People should flock to you because of your skill, your gift, not because they like you, but they NEED the gift!" Shepherd Bushiri: This statement was fulfilled after attending IYC's IYCMUN Let's all rise to make impact the time is now! IYCMUN2 what a great opportunity to make impact! I would like to say the youth need more of this you are doing great work thank you for the opportunity to make impact and to represent my motherland Malawi. And Africans, please, we need to develop ourselves not waiting for the government nor other people to help us.
Ethiopia
More than ever, this is a time when the survival of Africa is in the hands of its youth. The fact that African youths come together and share the blessings and challenges of our countries with each other allows us all to see and understand Africa more easily. I learned that Creativity and problem-solving come from understanding and recognizing problems and Africans. As an African youth, I believe that Africa's problems will be solved by its children who have an African mentality. What IYC is doing in this regard is very exciting and deserves to be continued. I also benefited greatly from the opportunity to participate and have fruitful discussions with my African brothers and sisters. I've had a lot of input, both humorous and serious, during our time together.
